Lollipop Rattle
In Psychology, what is the difference between script and schema?
Im taking an AP Psychology quiz, and one of the answers is script, and one is schema. Im not sure what the difference is...heres the question if that helps:
Jake, a small baby, loves to play with his rattle. The first time his mother gives him a lollipop, he shakes it as if it were a rattle. According to Piaget, Jake is trying to ___ the lollipop into his ___ of rattles.
accomodate;concept
assimilate;script
accomodate;script
assimilate;schema
I think its either the second one or the last one...but I wasnt sure. Thanks yew guys
the answer is
assilimate: schema
Schema are working models of certain things. Scripts are kinda like expected behaviour of one's role
